Proctor Silex cordless electric kettle customer review
Great kettle except for one design flaw…
This review is the opinion of the author. This kettle is actually well made and deserves all 4 of the stars I gave it. First off, lets start off with why it is only 4 stars. You have boiling hot water inside this thing, and to open the lid you have to yank on the plastic top until it pops out. There is no release, no latch, no nothing. It is held closed by friction of the plastic and can be hard to open. This could easily result in a burn when you yank on it and scalding water sloshes everywhere if you are not careful EVERY TIME you open. A simple push button release would have been much more safe.
Other than that it is a great kettle that heats up water fast. It turns off automatically which is also great. The size is perfect for almost any amount of boiled water you might need on a daily basis. It boils fast and hot. It’s a great kettle for the price you pay.
