How to use Nostalgia RWK150AQ Retro Stainless Steel electric water kettle?

Before using for the first, it is recommended that you clean your WATER KETTLE. Simply boil a full kettle of water and then discard the water. Repeat process once more.

  1. First, find a flat surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure your cord is away from any water source.
  2. To fill kettle with water, remove kettle from the Base, remove Lid, and fill with desired amount of water.
CAUTION: If water exceeds the MAX line (1.7 liters) of water, the boiling water may spill out during the boiling process.
  3. Replace the Lid and position the kettle back on the Base. Make sure the kettle is completely in contact with the Base.
  4. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet, then press the Switch to the ON position to begin boiling water. The indicator light will illuminate red.
NOTE: The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled. You can shut off power by moving the Switch to the OFF position at any moment during the boiling process.
  5. When water is done boiling, pour the water from the Spout by lifting the kettle from the Base using the Handle. Take care not to touch the stainless steel body, as it will be hot.
CAUTION: Use caution when pouring boiling water from your kettle, as boiling water may result in scalding.
  6. The kettle will not re-boil water when returned to the Base. Press the Switch to the ON position to begin the boiling process again.
  7. When done using, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Power cord stores conveniently in the Base.

Cute retro look AND works great too!

I love this! I’ve used it way more than I thought I would, it’s better than the standard teapot used on the oven. I’ve used it every night for a month, sometimes twice or three times a day. I love they ability to see how much water has been put in, the temperature of the water and when the machine is on: the lever turns red. It automatically clicks off when the water is hot enough, so I don’t worry about forgetting the kettle is on! The color is beautiful and the retro look matches my kitchen perfectly. Everyone that comes over comments how beautiful it is (or asks what it is! haha and then they think it’s very cool when I explain how it works)
All in all, I’m very pleased and would purchase again if I had to, and perhaps will buy more as gifts for friends and family.
