I was looking for one beautiful kettle without plastic material inside, and Temperature setting possible. I was wondering to purchase a delonghi kettle. It is also stylish. But at last I decided to purchase this one. I’m very happy with this new kettle. It’s black, tall, big enough 1,7litter. The out shell doesn’t get hot when boiling water. So it’s safe. How to use Krups electric kettle BW710D51?
- TO OPEN THE LID.
Press on the unlocking button. (fig. 2)
When you press on the unlocking button, the lid will open automatically.
The kettle will heat when lid is open. It will not turn off. If the lid is lost or broken, please
contact your after-sales service center. - PLACE THE BASE ON A FLAT, STABLE, HEAT-RESISTANT SURFACE AWAY FROM
WATER SPLASHES AND ANY SOURCES OF HEAT.
Your kettle must be used with the base specific to this product. - FILL THE KETTLE WITH THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF WATER. (fig. 3)
Never fill the kettle when it is on its base.
Do not fill it above the maximum level, or below the minimum level. If the kettle is too full,
boiling water may spill out. (fig. 3)
Do not use without water.
Check that the lid is closed properly before use. (fig. 4) - POSITION THE KETTLE ON ITS BASE. PLUG IT INTO THE SOCKET.
- TO START THE KETTLE.
Press the on/off button at the bottom of the handle. The on/off button will light up. (fig. 5) - AS SOON AS THE WATER REACHES BOILING POINT, THE KETTLE WILL TURN OFF
AUTOMATICALLY.
The light will turn off when the on/off switch returns to the upper position after boiling.
You can stop it manually, before removing it from its base to pour the water. Adjust the on/
off button (located at the bottom of the handle) upwards. (fig. 6)
Make sure that the on/off button is in the off position after boiling and that the kettle has
switched off before removing it from its base.
Do not leave water in the kettle after use as this quickens the formation of scale.
How to clean Krups electric kettle BW710D51?
Simply wipe the outside with a clean cloth (with a drop of vinegar if necessary). Never use abrasive products, scouring powder, detergents or other maintenance products because they may discolour the plastic. Take care never to put the kettle, power lead, plug or electrical base in water!

I love Krups!
Style Name: Stainless Steel with Adjustable Temperature
This kettle was purchased to replace one I had bought almost 20 years ago. I had moved here from Australia and we use electric kettles daily for tea and instant coffee. That first stainless steel Krups kettle (not cordless, no temperature control, just straight forward boiling function) was one of my favorite appliances until it started to leak a little at the fill level window. It indeed had an excellent run.
I’m hoping to get the same value out of this second Krups kettle. As time moves forward, materials seem to get cheaper and Krups is no exception — the handle is of lesser quality for this generation, a bit plasticy so I don’t expect to get 20 years out of it. But it’s solidly built and will last quite a number of years I am sure. The stainless body is of good, durable quality. My favorite feature is the attached lid with push button opening and press down closure (see video).
I really love that I now have a temperature control kettle as I drink a lot of tea of different varieties, as well as French press coffee. This was definitely a welcome upgrade.
Not in the sales copy, this kettle runs at 1500 watts as I am told by the seller and also according to the sticker on the bottom of the kettle. It’s a nice strong boil, but not as fast as I had hoped. Still excellent performance is delivered and I am completely satisfied with this high quality appliance.

The filter is made up of a grid that retains the particles of tartar. It is important to clean it regularly by brushing it or soaking it in a container with a descaling solution (diluted vinegar or citric acid).
How do I descale my kettle?
Descale regularly, preferably at least once a month and more often if you live in a very hard water area.
To descale your kettle:
• Use commercial 8° white vinegar:
– Fill the kettle with 1/2 l of vinegar,
– Leave it to act for 1 hour without heating.
• Citric acid:
– Boil 1/2 litre water,
– Add 25 g citric acid and leave to act for 15 min.
• A specific descaling product for plastic kettles: follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Empty your kettle and rinse it 5 or 6 times.
Start again if necessary.
To descale your filter (depending on model):
• Soak the filter in white vinegar or diluted citric acid.
• Never use descaling method other than the recommended one.

We’re usually not fans of plastic boilers or electric kettles but this electric kettle is a bit different. It’s certainly made of plastic on the outside but the intnerior heating element is made of stainless steel. So you benefit from always having a cool exterior since it has double layer insulation and protection.
It features a keep warm setting for 30 minutes but there are no temperature settings or controls unfortunately. This is basically an affordable unit that will serve the needs of many tea nd coffee drinkers but more demanding users may want to opt for another one of Krups’ models.
