Pros & Cons – COMFEE’ Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle
Here’s what’s good:
1. This kettle is HUGE at 1.7 liters. You can make a lot of tea (or whatever) without having to refill often.
2. The heating element is simply a rod running vertically up the back of the kettle, so the entire cavity of the kettle is open. That means easy cleaning and nothing hiding under the element as with older kettles with the element on the bottom.
3. The spout has an integrated steel strainer and a removable mesh strainer. The instructions say that it is for water only, so unless you have really chunky water, I’m guessing they assume you are going to make tea in it (which also makes that easy-to-clean feature great). At any rate, you are well protected against chunks traveling from kettle to cup.
4. I have used the kettle a dozen times now when filled to the max line, and each time I have water suitably hot for tea (simmer/rapid simmer) in around three minutes and a full boil at just under five minutes.
5. The power lever under the handle lights up brightly so you can easily tell if the kettle is on. When you take the kettle off the power hub, the kettle automatically shuts off and the lever returns to the off position. Remember to turn it back on if you’re just sneaking a little water as it’s warming up.
6. It’s a good-looking kettle and feels very well made. It’s easy to hold when full, despite its large capacity. The pour stream is straight with no splashing around or dribbling. There’s a plastic window the length of one side so you can see how much water is in the kettle and track the progression of boiling.
7. There is no smell or added taste to the water.
What’s not so good:
1. The mesh screen falls out if you look at it funny. If you’re not going to use it, put it in a safe place where you can retrieve it if you really need it.
2. The power base seems really lightweight and I wonder about its stability and durability. I’ve never had a cordless kettle, so take that criticism with a grain of salt. Maybe this is standard. The lightness of that part just surprised me.
3. The power cord is probably my biggest concern. This is a powerful kettle and the plug is a simple 2-prong NEMA connector attached to a regular cord. The cord does get slightly warm when I heat the kettle to full boil. It concerns me because my old kettle had a 3-prong NEMA connector attached to a massive, thick cord that never got warm, so I do worry about whether this kettle’s cord and connector is adequate. For this reason, I make sure to unplug the unit every time I finish using it.

Fast boil
This 1500W electric kettle has concealed heating elements and can boil up to 1.7 liters of water in 5 to 7 minutes, quicker and safer than a microwave. Start your day with a cup of instant coffee or tea.
How easy to clean up?
Remove the limescale with vinegar
Pour an equal quantity of water and vinegar in the kettle and make a solution. Fill the kettle around half way or three-quarter way with this solution. If you don’t have vinegar, you can use lemon or baking soda as substitutes.
Soften the scale buildup
Turn on the kettle and let this solution come to a boil. Turn off the kettle and let the solution soak inside the kettle for 20-30 minutes to soften the scale buildup. You can leave the solution longer or increase the quantity of vinegar if the buildup is really bad.
Clean the kettle
Scrub the inside of kettle with a non-metallic sponge, cloth or a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. For removing the smell of vinegar, you can fill it with water and let it come to a quick boil and pour it out. Wipe down the inside of kettle and leave it to dry

Great electric kettle
Omg! This thing is awesome!! The first thing I noticed was how nice it felt holding it in my hand. The handle feels really nice. Doesn’t feel cheap at all. When you turn it on, a blue light comes on and that looks pretty neat. It took about 4 minutes to boil the cold water I put in. When I took it off of the stand, the safety feature turn the device off which was also another plis in my book. Easy to clean and easy to store away. Very pleased with this product. Sorry if it seems I was all over the place with the review and if it didn’t make too much sense lol, you can thank my ADHD.
