Base
The kettle easily lifts from its 360-swivel base for easy filling at the sink and graceful serving without the hassle of a power cord; it can also be returned to its power source from any direction, great for right and left-handed users.
Boil fast
The Chefman Precision Kettle has accurate digital temperature control for optimal brewing of various beverages. Boils water faster than the microwave or the stovetop methods so you spend less time waiting for your delicious hot beverages; kettle and handle light up with bright LEDs while the water is boiling.
How to use Chefman 1.8 liter electric glass kettle?
- Pull out the power cord from the compartment under the base, and place base on a flat surface.
- Open the lid then fill water into the kettle.
- Fill kettle to the maximum level mark (for first time use only) with fresh tap water.
- Close the lid and place the kettle back on the base unit, and plug into a power outlet.
- Switch the kettle on by pressing the switch to the “I” position, the blue LED light inside the glass jar will illuminate to indicate the water is heating.
- The kettle will automatically switch to the “O” position once the water has boiled and the blue LED indicator light has gone off.
NOTE: Wait 30–60 seconds if you need to heat the water immediately after a boiling
cycle. - Empty the kettle then wash the glass jar with water, repeat the above 2 times.
NOTE: Never allow the water to fill above the maximum level or lower than the
minimum level indicated on the glass jar.
How to make tea in Chefman 1.8 liter electric glass kettle?
- Remove tea infuser from kettle by grasping the tea infuser insert and lifting up.
- Add fresh, cold water to the kettle, filling it for the number of cups of tea you wish to
make—up to 4 cups (max fill for tea is 1 Liter). - Insert tea infuser into the kettle and ensure it is securely in place.
- Once water has boiled, open lid and carefully add tea leaves or tea bags to the tea
infuser. Securely close the lid. Warning: Use extreme caution when adding tea leaves,
unit is very hot.
Caution: Wait until unit has completely cooled before removing tea infuser.
Tea infuser will be very hot after use; may cause serious burns if not handled properly.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Unplug your unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Rinse the kettle or wash with
- warm soapy water. Wipe the outside of the kettle and base of unit with a soft,
- damp cloth. Be sure that the electric kettle socket is kept dry during all cleaning.
- Spout Filter – This kettle has a filter to keep the water clean. Run filter under hot
- water and gently rub with a clean cloth or brush.
- Dry all parts after every use.
- Never immerse kettle or power base in water. Any other servicing should be
- performed by an authorized service representative.
De-calcification
De-calcification refers to removing mineral deposits, which may form in the interior of the kettle and may result in discoloration.
To get the best performance from your unit, decalcify your unit from time to time. Frequency will depend on the hardness of your water and how often you use the unit. We suggest using a kettle descaler in order to dissolve these deposits or scale. Follow the directions on the descaler package. If a commercial descaler is not available, fill the kettle with enough white vinegar to cover the bottom by about ½ inch. Heat the vinegar to a boil. Repeat this with cooled vinegar until all deposits are removed. When the descaling process is complete, empty the kettle and rinse out several times with clean water.

Leaks like a Whitehouse politician
$30 plus dollars is a lot for a ‘hot pot’ … a metal sleeve addition for tea leaves and some useless led lights do not a value make . All I wanted for my $32 was a pot that didn’t leak from the upper rim where the glass meets the rubber gasket and stainless steel collar … that apparantly was not destined to happen for me … buy your pot, boil some water and try to pour with lid up or down while watching for a thin stream to trickle from under the stainless steel collar … if there is no leaks then you have a winner … Mine gets no cigar and once again there is the suggestion to think deeply if online 2 day delivery is all the joy we keep wanting to believe it is … I haven’t returned anything I was totally displeased with which I truly believe is one of the plusses online stores are grinning to themselves over. Way too hard to return online orders unless the online is also a local brick and mortar walk -in . So I’m out $32 because like a child, I forgot in my joy at ripping open and discarding the box, that there was the possibility of dissatisfaction with even so simple a mechanism as a hot pot … I’m going to try the repair or advice alternative today when they open but im not holding my breath … Im going to have to mail it somewhere and will need a box … keep this review in mind when you are ordering something on Amazon because Walmart is a full 10 miles away … brick and mortar have advantages ….
